Art and its appreciation is a reflection of the mind, thoughts and perspectives of a thriving and evolving community of artists, art writers, art critics and art lovers – an honest and unique representation of the cultural and social ethos of its times. There is a pressing need in our society to inculcate and nurture the awareness of art as an integral part of our collective cultural and social existence.

A mature understanding of art is developed over a period of time with adequate dialogue and visual exposure. The youth of today will eventually be the artists, critics as well as the patrons of tomorrow. It is crucial that they develop sensitivity towards art in terms of its content, skill and power of expression, rather than focus on its financial implications. If we sow a seed of awareness in children, they will grow up to be individuals with an understanding of art on a much deeper level.

It is with these intentions in mind that the ‘Ushaarth Art Foundation’ has been conceived.
